Alexis Odelia is named for my grandmother, Odelia. I never knew her well, but I carry her name and the belief that jewelry can hold memory, become legacy, and connect us across time.

My background is in architecture, and that foundation shows up in the structure, balance, and material integrity of my work. I studied metalsmithing and stone setting at Brooklyn Metal Works and Jewelry Arts Inc. in New York City, where I learned traditional jewelry making techniques. Depending on the piece, I use hand fabrication and select modern processes to achieve the final form. Some techniques are self-taught, contributing to the hand-done quality my work is known for.

I’m drawn to restraint, subtlety, and the beauty found in shadow, patina, and imperfection. The pieces are quietly bold and meant to be worn daily and passed on.

I work primarily in solid 18k gold, using only natural, responsibly sourced gemstones. I do not work with lab-grown stones, taking a slow approach to jewelry design. Custom projects are welcome, and I’m happy to explore repurposing your existing gemstones into modern designs.
